SWSC – Southwest Soccer Club

British Challenger Half-Day Camp

WHEN: June 17 – 21
WHERE: Southwest Soccer Fields – 250 Blue Creek School Rd.
AGES: 5-14 @ 9:15 AM – 12:15 PM
COST: $145

PROS: Coaches are from different countries.
CONS: Coached by teenagers, poor supervision, and highly disorganized. Ava stopped going after the second day. No response to complaints or a refund.

JASA – Jacksonville Area Soccer Association

Training Camp

WHEN: June 17 – 20
WHERE: JASA Woodlands Park
AGES: 4-14 @ 9 AM – 12 PM
COST: $90 (sibling discounts are available)

PROS: Themed days and community food bank donations. Friendly coaching.
CONS: Limited advanced skills training. 

CASA – Coastal Area Soccer Association

CASA 2nd Annual Summer Camp with PJ Wakefield

WHEN: June 17 – 20
WHERE: Holly Ridge Municipal Park
AGES: 7-16 @ 9 AM – 1 PM
COST: $140.00 per player

AGES: 4-18
COST: $85 for Half Day: 9 AM – 12 PM
            $145 – Full Day: 9 AM – 4:30 PM

RBSA Summer Camp
Younger players with Coach Jata & 2 Assistant Coaches

PROS: Advanced technical skills training. Talent recognition.
CONS: It’s a bit of a drive outside of Jacksonville and a bit of a walk from parking to the fields.

WHERE: East Duplin Soccer Complex – 141 East Park Dr.
AGES: 5-10 @ 8 AM -11 AM
          11-17 @12 PM – 3 PM
COST: $85 (Includes camp T-shirt)

The first task of the day – skills training

PROS: Written evaluations, competitions with prizes. Highly organized and very friendly staff. See my review of JATA Summer Camp 2018.
CONS: It’s a bit of a drive outside of Jacksonville.
